Composition:
Karela (Momordica charantia) - 75 mg.: Karela is very useful to reduce glucose level both in blood as well as urine. America, England and many European countries showing very encouraging results in Karela ext. and it is used as an anti-diabetic drug.
Mamejewa (Enicostema littorale) - 75 mg.: Stomachic, bitter tonic, laxative, carminative and appetite stimulant
Jambubeej (Eugenia Jambolena)/ Black berry – 75 mg.: Stomachic, astringent, diuretic and anti-diabetic. Glucoside jamboline is said to have the power of checking the pathological conversion of starch into sugar in cases of increased production of glucose. It diminishes the quantity of sugar in urine and allays the unquenchable thirst of diabetes.
Neem (Azadirachta indica) – 75 mg.: Astringent, anti-periodic, stimulant and demulcent, tonic and stomachic.
Vijsar/Bijsar(Malabar kino/pterocapus marsupium) – 75 mg.: controls diabetes and all its symptoms.
Methi (Trigonella foenum-graecum) – 25 mg.: Demulcent, diuretic, carminative, astringent, stimulate appetite by their action on the nervous system. Reduces blood and urine sugar and is a very well known anti-diabetic.
Haldar(Curucuma longa) – 25 mg.: Aromatic, stimulant, tonic and carminative and anthelmintic. Removes liver obstruction dropsy, jaundice and it is given for flatulence, dyspepsia, and weak state of the stomach. (Ref: Dr. K.M. Nandakarni’s Indian Materia Medica,Vol.-1, page No. 415)
Amla (Embica officinalis) – 25 mg.: it has rich source of vitamin-C. It strengthens defence mechanism of the body and hence checks invasion of microbes. An infusion of the seeds is given as a febrifuge and in diabetes it is a nutritive tonic. It improves all conditions of debility. It corrects liver disorders and has astringent and diuretic action. Refrigerant, diuretic, and laxative, fruit is also carminative and stomachic. It is a valuable remedy in various complaints connected with digestive organs, such as biliousness, anorexia, dyspepsia etc. (Ref: Dr. K.M. Nandakarni’s Indian Materia Medica,Vol.-1, page No. 480)
Galo/Guduchi (Tinosfora cordifolia) – 25 mg.: Anti-periodic, alterative, diuretic. Useful in debilitating diseases, intermittent fevers and dyspepsia. Galo promotes regeneration of tissues, improves blood circulation, kidney function and appetite. It improves cardiac function and is also a liver tonic. (Ref: Dr. K.M. *Katuki (Picrorrhiza kurrooa): - 10 mg.: it is reputed as an anti-periodic and cholagogue and a liver corrective tonic. It is very useful in diabetes mellitus. (Ref: Dr. K.M. Nandakarni’s Indian Materia Medica,Vol.-1, page No. 953)
Dosage :1 to 2 Capsule 3 times a day or as directed by the physician.
