Brahmi Capsule

Its botanical name is bacopa monnieri/Centella asiatica. It builds  bodies resistance to infections - improves immune systems. It has been used for centuries to help benefit epilepsy, memory capacity, increase concentration, and reduce stress-induced anxiety.  Brahmi is known for its anti-oxidant properties that reduce oxidation of fats in the blood stream and useful for the treatment of arthritis, rheumatism, backache, fluid retention, blood cleanser, chronic skin conditions, constipation, hair loss, fevers, digestive problems. 
Pharmacological action:
Alterative, tonic, diuretic and local stimulant, especially of the cutaneous system and a bitter substitute. It has special influence on the genito-urinary tract, it sets up urinary and ovarian irritation, itching over the whole body. It has also an emmenagogue action. In large doses it acts as stupefying narcotic producing headache, giddiness and with some people a tendency to coma. Internally the powder is alterative and tonic. Indian physicians use this as an internal and external remedy in various skin diseases, ulcerations, chronic and callous, scrofulous and syphilitic with gummatous infiltration(secondary and tertiary syphilis), in chronic and obstinate eczema, psoriasis, leprosy, malaria and fevers, epilepsy, insanity etc. Brahmi is one of the recognized drugs used for Rasayana(rejuvenation) purpose. Also its use will improve the colour of the body, youth, memory and give long life. Brahmi improves the blood circulation in capillaries and enhances nourishment to follicles. Thus Brahmi improves melannin secretion and enhances hair growth. It cools the mind and improves mental strength and act as a memory booster tonic. it improves blood circulation also. For mental weakness, for improving memory, powder of the dried leaves in small doses is given with milk.
