Parts used: Root of Punarnava - 400 mg.

Pharmacological action: Stomachic, laxative, diuretic, expectorant, aphrodisiac, anti-inflammatory, purgative, anthelmintic and febrifuge. It helps to maintain efficient kidney and urinary functions with its diuretic, anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory functions. It is also useful in stranguary, leucorrhoea, ophthalmia, lumbago, myalgia, scabies, cardiac disorders, jaundice, anaemia, dyspepsia, constipation, cough, bronchitis and general debility. Punarnava is a very well established natural diuretic, has an anti-inflammatory properties, useful in swellings, congestions, kidney and heart diseases. It decreases Albuminuria. (Dr. K.M.
