Uterine Tonic

Composition:-

ASHOKA(Saraca indica)–500 mg.: It is strongly astringent and uterine sedative. It acts directly on the muscular fibres of the uterus. It is much useful in uterine affections, especially in menorrhagia due to uterine fibroids and other causes.The astringent action of Ashoka checks Leucorrhoea and menorrhagia.

LODHRA(Symplocos racemosa)– 500mg.: It is very important in treating Menorrhagia. It is considered as cooling and mild astringent. It averts uterine haemorrhage and abdominal secretions. It removes sluggishness of uterus and normalizes uterine tone and structure after delivery. 

ASHWAGANDHA(Withania Somnifera)–120mg.: A good astringent and anti-inflammatory. In Leucorrhoea and menorrhagia Ashwagandha is a drug of choice. It resolves low back pain. It corrects sterility in women.It is prescribed as a health restorative in pregnant women and old age.  

SHATAVARI(Asparagus racemosus)– 120mg.: Cool, containing large quantity of sugar, increases and enhances milk secretion in mammary glands, appetizer, restorative tonic and promotes uterine involutions and tones up muscles. 

YASTHIMADHU(Glycyrrhiza glabra)–100mg.:A supplementary nutritive. Useful in urino genital  irritation and it assists for the treatment of Leucorrhoea.

TRIPHALA–60 mg.: Combination of Harde, Baheda and Amla in equal quantity, corrects constipation and has a laxative action and facilitates bowl movement.

Manjistha(Rubia cordifolia)–50 mg.: Useful in dysmenorrhoea, roots of manjistha are known to have diuretic, emmenagogue and astringent properties.

GALO(Tinosfora cordifolia)–50mg.: Anti-periodic, alterative, diuretic.  Useful in debilitating disease

Bhringaraj(Eclipta alba)–50mg.: It has a powerful cholagogue action and checks enlargement of liver and spleen. It promotes growth and colour of hair.  

Kutaj (Hollarrhena antidysentrica) – 50 mg.: Stomachic, astringent, powerful ant-dysenteric, febrifuge, and anthelmintic. Also it has carminative and anti periodic action. In the combination of Gauriton syrup it is used in Menorrhagia and other uterine discharges

Bala (Sida cordifolia) – 50 mg.: regarded as cooling, astringent, stomachic and tonic, demulcent and diuretic.Also useful in bleeding piles, Leucorrhoea, stangury, and haematuria. For the relief of frequent micturition and Leucorrhoea.

Jivanti (Leptadenia reticulate) – 50 mg.: It tuber which is milky, white and globular, is  eaten as a vegetable and used medicinally as restorative. General tonic, restorative and nutritive

Dosage: 2 to 3 teaspoonful 2 to 3 times a daywith milk, or as directed by the physician

PUSHYANUG CHURNA – 50 mg.:  Uterine tonic, astringent, diuretic and useful in leucorrhoea and Menorrhagia. In The Ayurvedic formulary of India describes Pushyanug churna is very effective in the treatment of asrgdara (menorrhagia or metrorrhagia or both), svetapradara (Leucorrhea), rajodosa (Menstrual disorder) and Yonidosa (Disorder of female genital tract) – (Ref: AFI, part-1, page No. 113.) 

PRADRANTAK LOHA – 50 mg.: Arrests yellow and white discharges due to uterine affection.

GOUKSHURADI GUGGAL – 50 mg. : Cooling, Diuretic, Astringent. Useful in genitor-urinary system, suppression of urine, bloody-urine and in venereal infection. It corrects malnutrition. 

HIRABOL (Balsamodendron myrrha) – 50 mg.: astringent action, a tonic uterine affections. The drug checks menorrhoea very well. “Tincture of Myrrh is useful in menstrual disorders and chlorosis of young girls.” (IMM page No. 170-171) 

KUKUTANDATWAK BHASMA – 25 mg.:  It is useful in calcium deficiency. Also useful in leucorrhoea. It improves elasticity of arterioles and corrects anaemia. 

LOHA BHASMA – 25 mg.: Natural source of IRON. It corrects iron deficiency and anaemia. Promotes body resistance and general health.
 

DOSAGE:

1  to 2 capsule  3 times a day or as directed by the physician.
